Mechanical Engineer

Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary engineering firm that specializes in land development engineering, structural engineering, and building services (mechanical and electrical). They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Kingston on a hybrid/remote basis.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Planning, design, execution, and completion of projects for our clients.
• Commitment to high quality, optimized and the cost-effective delivery of Mechanical Engineering projects ensuring safety, compliance, and overall client satisfaction.
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, training, and mentorship to their team.
• Act as the Project Manager, on single discipline projects ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with other departments on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure the projects are moving forward as planned.
• Write proposals, project abstracts and technical reports.
• Build strong relationships with our clients and contributing to the continued growth and success of the company.

Qualifications:

• Professional Engineering license with PEO (other provincial registrations considered an asset.)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a Mechanical Engineering focus.
• 4+ years relevant working experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an Engineering Consulting firm
• Industrial, Commercial and Residential building design experience considered an asset.
• Design experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Revit, Carrier HAP, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of relevant industry codes, and standards, Ontario Building Code
