Our Ideal Candidate
As the successful candidate, you will assist with the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, analysis and related documents while coordinating work efforts with other disciplines as well as clients.
You will work under the direction of a senior engineer and will work collaboratively with other engineers, designers and field service staff on process plant related design projects. The candidate is expected to work with project teams and individual engineers to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets.
A Day in the Life
- Design and Analysis: Assisting in the preparation of industrial engineering designs and related documents, such as stress analysis calculations, 3D scanning and analysis, and equipment recommendations.
- Project Coordination: Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high-quality standards.
- Field Work: Performing field inspections and assessments during various stages of projects to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
- Documentation: Preparing drawings, specifications, reports, proposals, and contract documentation to support project requirements.
Team Interaction: Interfacing directly with team members, clients, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered as an EIT
- 1-3 years relevant experience in planning, designing and installing plant improvements in an industrial setting
- Experience in consulting engineering is preferred
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
- Technical competency and strong attention to detail
