Location: Cambridge, ON | Hybrid

Job Type: Full-time

The Position:

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team. The Mechanical Designer will work directly with the Mechanical Design Lead and Design teams to ensure projects are met on budget. The incumbent will work with management and department personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Perform engineering calculations for material strength, speeds, and force related to designs
  2. Develop equipment drawings and bills of materials using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  3. Analyze designs for compliance with standards like OSHA and CE
  4. Reverse engineer components using precision measurement tools
  5. Communicate design changes and task progress with team leads and management

What We’re Looking For:

  1. An educational background in Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline
  2. Experience in an automation environment is an asset
  3. Experience with custom tooling for the nuclear industry is an asset
  4. Working knowledge of ISO 9001, N299, and NQA-1 is an asset
