Mechanical design technician

OPPORTUNITY: MECHANICAL DESIGN TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Technician to work closely with the Project Manager in developing and bringing to production innovative, reliable, and high-quality ambulance vehicles.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Creating drawings and concepts for systems and subsystems of ambulance vehicle models
• Defining tolerances, materials, and surface finishes for parts and assemblies
• Developing parts lists and/or options for new assemblies or revisions
• Monitoring prototype fabrication to ensure accuracy in drawings, parts lists, and assembly sequences
• Providing technical support to production for new parts and assemblies
• Developing and writing assembly instructions
• Selecting and recommending standard components

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• A DEC, AEC, or DEP in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or relevant experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience in 3D drawing
• Knowledge of CAD software (PTC Creo is an asset)
• Experience in sheet metal design
• Experience in a production environment
• A strong interest in and ability to learn new concepts
• Functional English
