Mechanical Assembler

Are you an experienced assembler? Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Assembler in the electro-mechanical assembly industry in Ottawa, Ontario. The ideal candidate for this role performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines as well as follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Assemble components according to specific drawings, procedures, and process documentation
2. Use a variety of pneumatic tools, equipment, and hand tools for assembly purposes
3. Properly execute inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions
4. Able to properly identify, articulate, and escalate issues for technical support or engineering teams to establish root causes and determine solutions
5. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and performance standards

You bring:

1. 1-2 years of related work experience
2. Ability to work in a fast paced environment
3. Completion of secondary school

1. Proven ability to identify and solve obstacles in a dynamic and challenging environment
2. Ability to work independently in a supportive environment
3. Eye for detail in a manufacturing environment
