Position: Meat Cutter

Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer questions.
• Skillfully slice, trim, and prepare a variety of meat selections and cuts, then carefully wrap and package each with utmost precision.
• Manage time efficiently to complete all special orders.
• Order, receive, and stock freight orders.
• Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, following proper sanitation procedures and maintaining housekeeping logs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Correct handling of knives and proficient utilization of other cutting tools.
• Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available.
• Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required.
• Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
