Join our Team at Lacombe Food Store!

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? Lacombe Food Store presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're currently looking for a full-time Meat Clerk to join our dynamic team.

Position: Meat Clerk

Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide exceptional customer service
  2. Prepare, wrap, price and stock all varieties and cuts of meat
  3. Ensure that displays are fully stocked and properly faced
  4. Value-added duties
  5. Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
  6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

  1. Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  2. Exceptional attention to detail and quality
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  4. Team player with the ability to work independently
  5. Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available
  6. Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment
  7. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
  8. Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
