General Requirements
The Diamond Driller Assistant shall perform assigned duties in a productive manner that is safe for self, others, and the environment. The Diamond Driller Assistant directly reports to the Diamond Drill Operator and the Diamond Drill Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks safely and efficiently, using personal protective equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with the Drill Operator, report unsafe conditions, and participate in improving health and safety practices at the worksite.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate successful completion and recertification as required, of the following training:
  1. Common Core for Surface Diamond Driller Skills – Helper Level (Program # P770200)
  2. St. John Ambulance or equivalent – Standard level C First Aid
  3. WHMIS
  4. Occupational Health and Safety Training for Workers
  5. Workplace Violence and Harassment
  6. Accessibility Ontario Disabilities Act
  7. Any additional site-specific training/Induction
  8. Valid Class G Drivers Licence and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate a positive personal attitude and good communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, and client representatives.
• Conduct self within the high standard of behaviour expected from (company) representative.
• Successful Candidates must pass the Pre-Employment “Fit to Work” Program.
