Founded in 1901, Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC) offers a seamless academic journey from 18 months to 18 years. Located on a 50-acre campus on Hamilton's West Mountain, HSC provides a unique educational pathway for students through four school offerings: Junior, Montessori, Middle, and Senior. HSC prepares students to live with purpose – to understand their world, inspire, lead, act, and make a difference in their own unique ways.

We are currently recruiting for a Math Teacher in our Senior School for the 2025-2026 school year.

Senior School Math Teacher

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Principal of the Senior School, the teacher is responsible for:

• Teaching senior math (grades 9 - 12)
• Exploring and promoting research-based best practices
• Fully immersing themselves in the community and culture of HSC including duty and extracurricular activities
• Open, clear and timely communication with students, parents and colleagues
• Contribution to the extracurricular life of the College

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in Math or additional qualifications in Intermediate and Senior Mathematics
• An Ontario Teachers’ Certificate or equivalent
• A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience
• Experience with online teaching and Google tools
• Strong communication skills using email, LMS and other channels
• Familiar with Ontario’s Growing Success approach to assessment and evaluation
• Experience in coaching basketball, volleyball, and/or Track and Field would be considered an asset
