2025 Math and Literacy Tutors - Grade 3 & 6
$22.00 per hour (+ vacation pay in lieu)/up to 20 hrs a week. Mandatory Training during the week of February 10 - 14th. Exact dates and times of training TBD.
Up to 20 hrs a week February 24th - April 30, 2025. Possibility of extension: Up to 35 hours a week May - June 20th.

Position Overview
Term 2 Math & Literacy Tutors will provide EQAO support and gap closing instruction to students in grades 3 & 6. Within a structured school day, Tutors will provide direct instruction to individual students and small groups focusing on numeracy and/or literacy skills.
Duties Of The Tutor Include:
- Attend all training sessions
- Plan and lead 1:1 or small group math and/or literacy instruction
- Monitor student progress and share with classroom teachers and school administrators
Qualifications & ExperienceWe are looking for applicants who:
- are learners who seek and apply feedback to improve their practice
- show initiative
- are currently enrolled in post-secondary studies and are considering an education-related career
- are interested in, or have experience working with students in small groups in math and/or literacy
- can provide their own transportation to the assigned school (mileage not covered by LDSB)
- have a current CPIC (or can obtain a CPIC prior to employment)
