Skjodt-Barrett is a world-class manufacturer of food solutions and custom ingredients for North America's most beloved and trusted brands. We take pride in working closely with our customers to understand their unique needs and create innovative, individualized solutions that deliver joy to their customers.
A family-founded company started over 35 years ago, we are backed by the investment company Axel Johnson Inc (AJI). With their investment and support, we are well-positioned to foster growth and explore new opportunities.
Our customers, blue-chip international brands and mid-sized producers alike, are why we exist. Our teams of innovators, communicators, and managers are the people who meet their needs, build trust, and exceed their expectations.
Who we need
Reporting to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager, Material Management for North America (NA), we are looking for a Materials Planner. You will be responsible for planning the procurement and delivery of raw materials (such as dairy, proteins, flavours, fruits, and vegetables) and packaging materials to meet production schedules. You will be critical in ensuring smooth and efficient production, preventing shortages or excess inventory. You will collaborate with five other material planners and three demand and production planners, and work closely with sales and customer teams to coordinate material flow and provide real-time updates on any issues that may impact production.
This is a hybrid role working 2+ days per week onsite at our facility in Brampton, Ontario.
Who you are
You may have experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or the food industry and want to join a growing industry leader. Alternatively, you may be a Materials Planner from another sector, eager to transition into the dynamic and evolving ingredients and food industry. In either case, you're ready to apply your expertise in Management Requirements Planning and your ability to interpret ERP-generated Planned Orders in a scaling organization where you can advance your career.
What's in it for you
Impact. You want a high visibility, high-impact role at an organization with an international presence and a growing market share. You want to expand your knowledge of the ingredient and food production industry, collaborating within and across teams and borders. You want to gain insights into the supply chain process for procuring, testing, and approving substitute ingredients that meet customer needs, budgets, and timelines.
Career development. At Skjodt-Barrett, we value the drive to bring ideas to life and the resilience to be accountable for your actions. We have a proven history of supporting our people’s professional development and career growth. Your career path could include increasing your accountabilities in Operations Planning or moving into another area, such as Procurement, Customer Account Management or Supply Chain.
