What to Expect:
Are you passionate about the food industry and have a knack for digital solutions? Join our dynamic team as a Recipe Management and Digital Solutions Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Nutrition and Nestle Health Science (NHSc) departments. You will manage material and recipe-related activities, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient onboarding of new ingredients, managing contaminant analysis programs, monitoring shelf-life and stability studies, and enhancing overall Innovation and Renovation recipe management efficiency through innovative ways of working. You will build capabilities in digitalization within our non-technical team and drive business process analysis to find new opportunities where digital automation and digitalization can bring improved business efficiency and productivity gains.
- Ensure Compliance: Coordinate the development and maintenance of Nestle Canada specifications for raw materials using digital tools and platforms. Assure technical accuracy and effectiveness of documentation through automated systems. Ensure food safety and quality of raw materials through compliance with local market and/or international regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of recipes and materials, projects, progress, and outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and achievements to key stakeholders.
- Digital Solutions Implementation: Identify and evaluate digital solutions that streamline material and recipe management workflows. Work closely with IT, technical leads and external vendors to implement and integrate these solutions effectively.
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing material and recipe management processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive efficiencies, reduce waste, and enhance quality control.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to analyze performance metrics related to material and recipe management. Generate insights and recommendations for process optimization and product development.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in cross-functional projects related to digital food innovation and material management. Develop project plans, set timelines, and ensure successful execution.
- Contaminant Analysis Management: Manage and track contaminant analysis required for product launches. Implement digital solutions to streamline the process and ensure accurate and efficient monitoring of contaminant programs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Networking: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and actively network with industry experts (R&D centres, ingredient experts, recipe developers, vendors, and subject matter experts within Canada and globally) to gather requirements, understand needs, and exchange knowledge in digital food innovation for material and recipe management. Leverage these collaborations and insights to drive process change and improvement within our team.
- Training Material Development: Create comprehensive training materials that document effective ways of working in material and recipe management. Build robust and digital onboarding training plans to ensure smooth integration of new team members and build capabilities within the current team.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital food innovation. Attend conferences, webinars, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role, focusing on business process analysis and implementing automation solutions, indicating a track record of successful automation projects, preferably in the food industry.
- Aptitude to accelerate, streamline, simplify and eliminate work to drive efficiencies.
- Proficient in business process analysis and process improvement methodologies, enabling effective identification and implementation of automation solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities and design efficient solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration and influencing stakeholders.
- Demonstrated adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and platforms, coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in SAP-RM and other relevant software tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Food Science and/or Nutrition background preferred.
