The goal of the Specialist, Material Management is to execute, coordinate, and support the business for the In-house team, Field team, and Project Manager. At this level, the job holder is familiar with all material management tasks and can perform them with little guidance. Proactively reports on the status of his/her work and provides feedback as needed.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Coordinates and participates in the timely determination and order of parts as required for project preparations and ensure on time material availability, including tracking and recording in our ERP system.
- Coordinates and executes Warehousing of completed projects including tracking and recording in our ERP system, based on different planning tools.
- Maintain oversight of incoming items from different global locations to consolidate and resolve related issues.
- Ensure provision of project parts to preparation teams/ staging areas accordance with project schedules.
- Pro-actively escalate unforeseen delays and changes and communicate them both internally and to affected stakeholders.
- Coordinates and executes inventory optimization and permanent inventory count.
- Executes packaging & declaration of Dangerous Goods.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Material Management or related field is required.
- Certification in transportation of dangerous goods (ground, ocean, and air) is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a material management role is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with production and manufacturing processes and techniques is required.
- Possesses degree of independence in executing tasks.
- Requires little guidance in executing tasks.
- Has basic experience in creating appropriate documentation and driving continuous improvement processes.
- International experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English as well as the local language.
Skillset
- Inventory Management: Tracking and optimizing stock levels.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding logistics, procurement, and supplier coordination.
- Data Analysis: Using software like SAP, Excel, or ERP systems to analyze stock levels and trends.
