Applications are invited for the position of Massage Therapy Program Manager in the School of Allied Health, Health Sciences Division, located at the Welland Campus. The starting rate of pay is $41.77/hr for a 24 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, Allied Health, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of Niagara College’s Massage Therapy Program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty and program staff to continually review and improve the content and delivery of all aspects of the curriculum, anticipating educational trends and curricular issues, and maintaining teaching and learning plans, evaluations, content, manuals, and accreditation requirements. This position is responsible for supporting overall student success initiatives including college recruitment, orientation, retention, and clinical placements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and executing a series of projects and participation levels and providing progress reports
• Co-ordinating team efforts to ensure the effective development & delivery of the Massage Therapy Program
• Leading and participating in various program meetings
• Overseeing clinical experiences
• Working collaboratively with faculty and program staff to continually review and improve the content and delivery of all aspects of the curriculum
• Anticipating educational trends and curricular issues
• Overseeing on-campus clinic operations
• Leading accreditation processes

Qualifications:

• A Massage Therapy Diploma
• Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with CMTO
• Minimum 5 years’ practice experience as a Registered Massage Therapist in clinical settings
• Undergraduate degree in a related field
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster/support the same with students and colleagues
• Experience in a clinical teaching and learning environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
