Marketing Vice-President - Trade, Broadcasting and Other Services

Job Details:
Location: Brampton, ON L6T 5A2
Salary: $50,000 to $80,000 annually (To be negotiated)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  1. Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  2. Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  3. Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments.
  4. Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  5. Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
  6. Write and edit press releases, newsletters, and communications materials.
  7. Manage contracts.
  8. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the design, development and maintenance of Internet and Intranet sites to manage an organization’s Internet presence.
  9. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff.
  10. Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports, briefs, bibliographies, speeches, presentations, website content, and press releases.
  11. Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials, and sessions.
  12. Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments, and other organizations.
  13. Develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies and programs.
  14. Market business services.
  15. Establish distribution networks for products and services, initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
  16. Gather, research and prepare communications material.
  17. Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions.
  18. Answer written and oral inquiries.
  19. Initiate and maintain contact with the media.
  20. Train and supervise staff.
  21. Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material.
  22. Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies.
  23. Assist in product development and direct and evaluate the marketing strategies of establishments.
  24. Prepare sports, literary, performance or other contracts.
  25. Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that publicize activities and events on behalf of businesses, governments, and other organizations.
  26. Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys.
  27. Develop promotional materials.
  28. Plan and control budget and expenditures.
  29. Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services.
  30. Act as spokesperson for an organization.
  31. Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs.
  32. Develop and organize workshops, meetings, ceremonies and other events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes.

Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Project Management Professional (PMP)
