Position PurposeAs the Marketing Supervisor, you will contribute directly to the execution of the Operating Companies (OpCo's) plan as it relates to all food, fresh and marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Sr Director, Marketing, you will collaborate with our Corporate Marketing Directors, devising and supporting execution strategy with assigned OpCo teams to achieve company objectives. A successful candidate will effectively demonstrate the ability to lead company initiatives, maintain knowledge of industry trends, demonstrate capability to communicate and sell Core-Mark solutions and provide the training and tools to Core-Mark's Sales Account Consultants from them to be effective at selling Core-Mark's solutions.
Major Functional Responsibilities- Maintain working knowledge of all corporate programs, including and not limited to, foodservice, fresh, and general marketing solutions.
- Understanding Core-Mark's technology suite to deliver and share superior marketing content. Ensuring CoreMark's OpCo sales teams' ability to access and leverage the content to effectively sell and communicate.
- Support Online and Live Trade Shows for assigned OpCo's.
- Communicate Corporate Marketing initiatives to OpCo management and train the OpCo sales team on sales and execution strategy.
- Formulate and execute a strategic plan which aligns with Core-Mark's growth objectives.
- Create strategies for Marketing Program growth to include sales, pricing, and profitability.
- Support Foodservice and Fresh execution strategy, including support of local vendors and products.
- Train and provide supporting presentation and documentation to execute food, fresh and marketing strategies at Retail. Including support for store-specific recommendations, training on preparation methods, merchandising, equipment and POS needs, where appropriate.
- Communicate new items, product information, and competitive market information.
- Present product and industry information through training sessions with OpCo teams.
- Coordinate the planning, set-up, and presentations for trade shows and customer seminars related to foodservice, fresh and marketing.
- Support OpCo's with larger-Retailer presentations.
- Provide appropriate hand-off of direct orders to facilitate equipment and POS delivery, and necessary CDU documentation.
- Support Operating Companies with event planning from time to time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Required Qualifications4 years of higher education with a degree in a related field.
Experience in executing regional marketing programs.
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Adobe Suite and graphic design knowledge are an asset.
Flexibility to travel on a daily basis within assigned market region and occasional training/conferences which may be out of market.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in both Marketing & Food Service/Fresh within the convenience industry preferred.
