What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Create and execute measurable marketing plans and strategies that follow B2B marketing best practices and support business development objectives.
  • Write and edit with ease, consistency, and accuracy for external and internal audiences across multiple formats, from website content to brochures to advertisements.
  • Coordinate, plan, and support virtual and in-person events, from client meetings to national tradeshows.
  • Compile information and organize presentations, speaking notes, and other marketing materials for subject-matter experts.
  • Create compelling digital campaigns to increase awareness and grow engagement.
  • Track and analyze metrics and KPIs of deliverables to ensure successful ROI.
  • Make informed recommendations on advertising opportunities.
  • Work with a variety of subject-matter experts to gather content for industry awards, marketing materials, and internal communications, in a timely fashion to keep projects on schedule.
  • Assist and support the overall Marketing & Communications team’s development and growth with your insights, participation, and creative ideas.
  • Review documents for brand compliance and project manage creative designs to develop visually appealing layouts that are best in class for the sector.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and share industry and client trends, particularly in the Cities, Communities & Parks sector.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, with at least 5 years related experience in a similar support role.
  • Experience creating and implementing tailored marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Strong project management or account management skills and experience.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to participate and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic changing environment.
  • Experience in events coordination and execution.
  • Known for bringing ideas to the table and being a self-starter who works independently.
  • Ability to turn conversations with subject-matter experts into engaging content.
  • Ability to critically analyze written content against requirements to create compliant and winning awards.
  • Familiarity using Canva, WordPress, and Google AdWords considered an asset.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $60K- $85K per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
