Merit Ontario trains with the future in mind. Our experienced experts provide services in e-learning, customized training programs, state-of-the-art virtual reality training, and recruitment. We deliver supportive and innovative customized training solutions for small, medium, and large construction employers. In addition, we help Ontarians find jobs in construction with diverse companies.

We are looking to hire a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator for one of our member companies that services Hamilton, ON, to elevate their brand presence and engage our audience through digital platforms. Our member is a leader in the sales and distribution of heavy equipment, intermodal container handling, and industrial forklift lines.

What will you be doing as a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator?

  1. Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram to engage our target audience.
  2. Create, curate, and manage original content (graphics, video, blogs) that aligns with our brand and resonates with followers.
  3. Monitor and analyze social media performance, adjusting tactics to optimize engagement and reach.
  4. Design and manage online ad campaigns, coordinating with other departments to ensure cohesive branding.
  5. Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster an active online community.
  6. Prepare regular reports on social media performance, audience insights, and campaign effectiveness.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and digital marketing best practices, ensuring we remain competitive in the market.
  8. Maintain a high standard of brand consistency and messaging in all marketing efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
  2. High school diploma required; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  3. Customer service skills with a focus on client engagement.
  4. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Proficient in computer applications and social media platforms.
