Title: Marketing Manager - Oil & Gas
Location: Calgary, Canada

Petroplan is working exclusively with a leading operator. We are recruiting a top caliber Marketing Manager of Oil and Gas for a position, based in Calgary who meets the following criteria.

Position Overview:

The Manager, Oil and Gas Marketing will be responsible for market enablement, portfolio reporting, controls and standards, and measuring sales strategies supporting oil and gas marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To provide flow assurance for all Company hydrocarbons
  2. Collaborate with global Marketing team members to execute and optimize global marketing operations standards, procedures, and supporting systems.
  3. Work with upstream production teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing activities with supply operations.
  4. Interface frequently to optimize hydrocarbon flows and maximize the value of hydrocarbons
  5. Provide tools to monitor trading activities and ensure they comply with regulatory requirements.
  6. Lead the production of portfolio valuation reports based on realized and forecasted trade positions and market pricing data.
  7. Maintain procedural documentation of daily, weekly, and monthly marketing activities involved in the negotiation and delivery of products.
  8. Support marketing accountants to resolve any rate and/or volume discrepancies
  9. Support evaluation of marketing commercial results, strategies, and opportunities.
  10. Manage marketing-focused vendor service relationships related to market pricing, fundamentals, and technology.
  11. Develop reporting of product (Gas, NGL, Oil) movements from source to sink
  12. Develop models for historical performance analysis and forecasting impacts to operations during material outages, weather events, etc.
  13. Work with market data vendors and internal teams to provide oil and gas pricing and fundamentals data to marketers.
  14. Fulfill data requests from non-marketing teams, including Audit, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Risk.

Qualifications

  1. 15 or more years of experience in commodity markets operations, technology and/or consulting
  2. Oil and gas industry experience - understanding of downstream markets
  3. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
