Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead our marketing initiatives, oversee brand management, and drive promotional activities for our range of beverage alcohol brands. As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing strategic marketing plans, managing brand positioning, and executing engaging promotional campaigns to drive brand awareness, trial, customer engagement, and sales growth.

Organizational Structure

Reports functionally to the Vice President, Marketing, however, this position will work closely with several functional areas of the business. The position is based in Calgary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Planning and Execution: manage plans and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales. This may include traditional and digital advertising, consumer promotions and sponsorships. Lead on ideation and procurement of promotional tools and trade show needs.
  • Product Launches: Accountable for activation of product launch executions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with creative agency, media agency, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and successful implementation of marketing strategies. Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Consumer Insights and Market Research: Analyze consumer trends, and gather insights to identify opportunities for campaign optimization. Use data-driven approaches to make informed decisions.
  • Brand Guidelines and Compliance: Uphold brand integrity by enforcing brand guidelines across all marketing materials and initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree or post-graduate degree in business marketing or related discipline. (a combination of education and work experience may be considered equivalent)
  • 5 years of related experience or 5 - 10 years of broad marketing experience preferably in the beverage alcohol or consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of brand management, marketing strategy, and campaign development.
  • Develop or possess working knowledge of various provincial liquor regulations.
  • Proficient understanding of a sales process.
  • Digitally fluent and adept on Office 365.
  • Skills in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and analytics.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and/or weekends if required.
