Marketing Manager, Demand Generation, AbeBooks
AbeBooks is seeking a data-driven marketing professional to join our team as a Marketing Manager responsible for Demand Generation. In this role, you will be owning the development and execution of complex SEO strategies to grow organic traffic, while establishing product-driven marketing initiatives with comprehensive customer segmentations to deliver measurable impact.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and executing demand generation and organic search marketing strategies to acquire new customers in a B2C or e-commerce environment. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with both Product and Dev. teams, this highly-visible role will be responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to continuously optimize our marketing initiatives and drive growth.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies through organic search marketing (SEO) to drive growth.
- Analyze website content, structure, and metadata while working alongside our developers to improve organic search rankings and visibility for both desktop and mobile users.
- Collaborate with the Product team to ideate, design, and test new website features and functionality that enhance the customer journey.
- Manage A/B and multivariate testing to determine the most effective marketing campaigns, website experiences and performance.
- Work with our Engagement Marketing Manager to conduct market and customer research to develop an in-depth understanding of our target audience and their online behavior to optimize keyword targets and onsite conversions.
- Partner with Brand Marketing Manager to ensure new content campaigns are optimized for search and increased click-through rate (CTR).
- Generate comprehensive reports on key performance metrics and present insights with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO, SEM and product marketing trends to continuously improve our online presence.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
- Experience with A/B testing, especially around audience segmentation and targeting.
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing and executing complex, data-driven SEO strategies utilizing SEO tools and techniques, including keyword research, on-page/technical optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Tableau, SQL and Salesforce experience.

The base salary for this position ranges from $68,400/year up to $114,300/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
