PavCo is hiring a Marketing Manager to join the Communications and Community Engagement team at BC Place. Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing Manager plays a critical role in managing and amplifying the BC Place brand by leading the development and execution of the annual marketing strategy to support the stadium’s overall strategic priorities.
Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing the reputation of BC Place through overseeing the creation and management of compelling marketing campaigns, including the stadium's digital/online presence, social media, out-of-home advertising campaigns, in-house signage and branding including concession brands, and all external and internal marketing assets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide expertise and leadership in developing and implementing an annual marketing strategy for BC Place.
- Develop and implement creative marketing campaigns and initiatives across multiple channels, which support the stadium’s events, in-house brands and overall marketing objectives.
- Develop all marketing materials and assets including print and digital advertising, website management and social media marketing and campaigns.
- Project manage the production of marketing assets, including developing creative briefs and workback schedules to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
- Manage and amplify the BC Place brand, to ensure look and feel, messaging and tone are consistent across all materials and channels.
- Maintain and update the BC Place website, including creating new webpages aligned with BC Place’s goals and objectives.
- Work closely with the BC Place sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals and ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, provide insights and recommend improvements.
- Liaise with the Vancouver Convention Centre’s marketing department to ensure overall consistency with PavCo’s overall marketing activities and brand.
- Support the overall activities of the Shared Services Communications and Community Engagement team.
- Provide on-site marketing and communication support for BC Place events (some evening and weekend work required).
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:- University or post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as marketing, communications or another related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within the tourism and events sector or related industry.
- Proven ability to think strategically while also delivering on day-to-day tactical requirements.
- Ability to work with partners – both internal and external – to develop and deliver on the tactics within an overarching strategy.
- Innovative and creative approach, with a strong desire to try new ideas.
- Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills, with comfort at communicating across and up/down the organization to all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines to drive projects to completion, balancing pressing deliverables while thinking about long-term priorities.
- Ability to lead and project manage work from ideation to completion, with strong attention to detail.
- A solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to solve problems without all the information, established processes or prescriptive guidance.

The salary range for this position is $77,488 – 96,860. Successful candidates will also receive benefits, paid vacation and will be eligible for the BC Public Service Pension Plan.
