Who we need

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Science, we are looking for a Marketing Data Scientist who brings the technical expertise and practical knowledge to leverage analytics and demonstrate marketing effectiveness. You will play a pivotal role and take ownership of our post-campaign analytics, developing our omnichannel campaign deployment, and delivering data-driven recommendations for personalized member offers. From testing new campaigns, building dashboards, and presenting impact, you will work strategically and creatively to ensure we are engaging and delighting our members.

This is a hybrid role requiring work in-office five days over two weeks.

As our new Marketing Data Scientist, you will:

  • Build. You will code and develop omnichannel campaigns for member engagement and offers. You will work with partners to define campaign objectives, target audiences, test requirements, and delivery timelines.
  • Analyze marketing data. You will monitor campaign performance and consult on adjustments to marketing strategy based on your findings. You will conduct post-campaign deep dives, collaborating with Marketing, Partnerships and Data Science to implement changes to messaging and ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Optimize. You will augment existing campaigns with insights and tools created by the data science team. You will identify gaps in data point collection, demonstrate areas for further exploration and targeting, and evolve the entire campaign process to improve efficiency and reduce errors. You will implement campaign testing to drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Grow. You will research new tools, trends, and approaches, and work with vendors to stay up to date with the latest methodologies and best practices in the field.

You bring:

  • The analytics. You have a background in data science and experience in marketing and campaign analytics. Ideally, you have worked on customer loyalty programs, identifying trends and opportunities to create effective, engaging campaigns. You have worked with big data sets in a customer-facing industry and you can apply your findings to drive decisions and pinpoint gaps in data point collection. You have experience with testing frameworks like A/B, long-term control holdouts and price optimization. You can distill data to key relevant findings, create and make presentations, tell a story and use data visualization to enhance your message.
  • The technical skills. You can learn new tools independently and quickly. You are proficient in MS Office, including strengths in building presentation decks in PowerPoint that succinctly convey results and provide data-based recommendations. You have a solid foundation using Python/Pyspark for data science, writing complex SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple database sources, and using Tableau for data visualization. You have strong digital business acumen and a proven record of successfully working with marketing automation tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Adobe, Moengage, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills. You can nurture relationships across internal and external teams: gaining trust to influence decisions. You have professional communication skills, including translating complex analytics concepts and findings for different audiences and levels.
