Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator supports HDGH Foundation's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of print and digital communications. This includes flyers, newsletters, posters, advertisements, web pages, social media channels, electronic templates and presentations, preparing media releases & advisories, photography and other marketing as required. The position is involved in a wide variety of special events, and plays a major role in visually bringing HDGH Foundation to life through print and digital mediums. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills and a keen interest in promoting the Foundation's role in supporting HDGH.

Qualifications:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with the Marketing service provider to action the prepared marketing plan, developing marketing deliverables.
  2. Analyze marketing trends, and social media engagement to inform marketing strategies.
  3. Monitor and analyze metrics to track the success of marketing campaigns and report on performance.
  4. Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including content creation, social media management, and email marketing, ensuring alignment with the HDGH Communications team.
  5. Develop marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, social media posts, and website content that reflect the Foundation's shared purpose statement.
  6. Foster relationships with community organizations, donors and other stakeholders to promote the hospital's programs and services as they relate to fundraising activity.
  7. Work closely with the hospital's leadership, communications department, medical staff, and external vendors to ensure cohesive marketing strategies as it relates to our events, both signature and third party.
  8. Work alongside the HDGH Communications team to ensure the Foundation's communication strategies are in alignment with HDGH's communication strategies and key messaging.
  9. Manage and coordinate tasks outsourced to external vendors, such as printing companies.
  10. Create artwork and layout for all communications and marketing collateral for the Foundation, through the use of graphic software.
  11. As a Philanthropy and Events team member, help plan and promote special events, including support of events through promotion and event day duties.
  12. Work flexible hours and days to coordinate with events and special occasions as required.
  13. Work in a team atmosphere assisting where needed and collaborating with other team members on projects.
  14. Prepare, edit and deliver Foundation video production, in consultation with the Communications Department.

Education and/or Certification:

QUALIFICATIONS/ CERTIFICATIONS:

  1. Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools.
  2. Experience with using social data/website analytics.
  3. Expertise with marketing campaigns.
  4. Solid computer skills, proficient using graphic design software.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment inclusive of donors, board members, management, physicians, staff and visitors.
  7. Work independently and multi-task various responsibilities and projects.
  8. Creative thinker with a passion for marketing.
  9. Strong organizational and project management skills.
  10. Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Equivalent – required.
  11. 3 years of Direct experience working in a communications/marketing capacity; healthcare setting preferred.
  12. Social media marketing and online marketing campaigns including planning, best practice - required.
  13. Print Collateral development including formats, bleeds, and pantone colour usage- required.
