Job description

AbeBooks is seeking a creative Marketing Coordinator to support our brand marketing initiatives, with a focus on graphic design, social media, and content creation. This role will be instrumental in executing our marketing strategies and contributing to the growth of our brand activation.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, creative thinker with a passion for books or the B2C space. You should have a strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation, with excellent communication skills. You are proactive, adaptable, and keen to learn new skills while showcasing clear ownership of tasks.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work closely with our brand marketing manager and other coordinators to support key brand activations
  • Manage and execute social media postings across various platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice and engagement
  • Develop and curate dynamic / static content for social media
  • Support all campaigns through digital asset creation (graphic design) such as email banners
  • Update existing articles and create new, engaging content across AbeBooks' domains
  • Monitor and report on social performance, providing insights for optimization
  • Schedule meetings, take notes, and handle other ad hoc requests to support the marketing team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • 1 year+ experience (Internship Inclusive) in Content Creation, either Written or Visual

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of basic HTML, Photoshop, SQL, Excel and Marketing Analytics
  • Experience in making data driven business decisions
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
