Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will provide daily support and be a contributing member of an extraordinary Marketing Team. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Utilize graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and Canva, to assist with hotel collateral updates, resizing images, as required.
- Assist in the design of high-quality, visually captivating materials across various platforms, including in-house marketing collateral (posters, menus, signage, invitations, labels, etc.), social media graphics, and digital content, ensuring consistency with hotel and brand guidelines.
- Assist in preparing designs for print, and coordinating with printers for quotes.
- Create POs and submit invoices for marketing department.
- Assist with photo shoots as required.
- With assistance from Director of Marketing, update Sonfify, InTouch and on-hold messaging as required.
- Meet with internal stakeholders to understand scope and requirements of creative service requests, and work with Director of Marketing to develop vision/conceptualization of new materials.
- Assist with Reputation Management, responding to guest feedback as required.
- Prepare monthly marketing reporting.
- Contribute to creative brainstorms and marketing strategy.
- Maintain yearly F&B marketing events calendar, coordinate project management systems, ensuring cross-functional teams are working cohesively.
- Provide regular departmental status updates and circulate communications meeting notes.
Qualifications:
- Certificate, diploma or degree in Marketing/Communications/Graphic Design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and HTML preferable.
- Previous experience in a graphic design and/or marketing role an asset.
- The communications trifecta: excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, and above all, a team player.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of delivering on a diverse range of projects, often involving tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Proven organizational planning and project management skills.
- Digital marketing and social media experience an asset.
- Photography and editing skills for the purpose of social media content creation an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
