Calian GNSS is an Ottawa-based producer of products and components used for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).

This is an onsite role based in Ottawa (Kanata), offering a 4 or 8 month co-op term.

Position Overview

As a Marketing Co-op student, you will support the Calian GNSS marketing team by creating and managing content, developing promotional materials, and enhancing our digital presence. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, high-tech B2B environment while contributing to global marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the creation of direct and indirect distribution marketing collateral, including brochures, product sheets, presentations, case studies, and videos.
  2. Support social media management for Calian GNSS by planning, creating, and scheduling posts across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
  3. Help review and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support marketing and launch campaigns.
  5. Collaborate with the channel success sales manager and product management team to develop engaging content that highlights our products and industry expertise.
  6. Assist in coordinating webinars, trade show materials, and virtual events with the marketing coordination manager.
  7. Analyze social media and website analytics to measure engagement and effectiveness.
  8. Support the creation of email marketing campaigns and electronic direct mailers.
  9. Help manage digital assets, including photos, videos, and brand materials.

Qualifications

  1. Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  2. Strong technical writing and editing skills with an ability to create compelling content.
  3. Experience with social media platforms and content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite).
  4. Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) is an asset.
  5. Knowledge of website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is an asset.
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media and website metrics.
  7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning and collaboration.
