Your role and responsibilities

Our team is seeking an experienced, talented, and passionate Marketing Business Partner who will play a key role in defining the marketing strategy of industrial and utility markets for Installation Products division in Canada. You will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating creative and effective marketing and communication initiatives to strengthen brand and product awareness, generate traffic, drive sales and improve customer engagement. As a key member of the Marketing team, you'll take on a variety of projects (product launches, promotions, digital campaigns, content series, etc.), be responsible for specific functions covering the entire team and will be ready to take on a variety of tasks to drive results. This position is contributing to the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB Canada and is located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The work model is hybrid, with 2 days per week at the office.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  1. Development of marketing initiatives: Confirm objectives, budget and timeline with stakeholders, lead creative & production briefings, manage projects, approval process and deployment.
  2. Project management: Manage and coordinate the various stages of marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring deadlines and budgets are respected, while guaranteeing a high level of quality.
  3. Tactics identification: Optimize conversion in the usual channels and offer new, innovative ways to reach target audiences and deliver our messages.
  4. Content creation: Leverage existing content or create new content that includes clear and engaging messages, attractive visuals, and powerful value propositions - all while navigating branding guidelines.
  5. Industry and opportunity analysis: Monitor various potential touchpoints (events, partnerships, associations, media, etc.), analyze direct and indirect competitors, market trends and customer behavior, and highlight opportunities that could be integrated into the overall strategy.
  6. Internal and external collaboration: Coordinate with various groups, such as sales, product management, segment and digital marketing, corporate communications, global branding and external vendors to ensure alignment throughout all stages of marketing initiatives and ensure integrated deployment across all touchpoints.
  7. Performance tracking: Measure and analyze the results of marketing activities, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess effectiveness and adjust where necessary. Share lessons learned and best practices to optimize future initiatives and strategies.
  8. Annual strategy: Actively participate in strategic discussions with product managers and marketing team and collaborate in developing the annual marketing plan to ensure balanced growth of the various product lines.

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in marketing, communications or related field and minimum 8 years of experience in relevant positions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects autonomously and set priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability and desire to work as part of a team and collaborate with different departments.
  • Great communication skills in English and in French: copywriting, editing, leading meetings, interpretation of needs, negotiation, influencing internal stakeholders. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
