Job description

As the Marketing Automation Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for delivering best-in-class marketing campaigns and building automated programs to nurture prospects and retain customers. The successful candidate will be able to work at both strategic and tactical levels working to bring B2B marketing campaigns to life to drive desirable user experiences and business outcomes.


Responsibilities:
  1. Build and launch marketing programs within Marketo, including campaign building, list uploading, and related email tasks. Develop and refine processes to optimize team efficiency and collaboration. Socialize new processes and ensure they are adopted.
  2. Work closely with the Sr. Email Marketing Specialist on designing and building email templates, executing nurture campaigns, and planning the email calendar.
  3. Find opportunities to enhance email marketing efforts, collaborating with stakeholders to find ways to improve email both creatively and strategically.
  4. Partner with the Marketing Operations Specialist to lead administration of Marketo, which may include training and permissioning users, creating program templates, managing the lead processing and flows, building/maintaining lead scoring, and auditing data.
  5. Optimize, build, and enable our list segmentation and audience targeting approach.
  6. Consult on initiatives with stakeholders on the demand generation, product marketing, content, and website teams, and cross-functionally with other teams as needed.
  7. Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
  8. Experiment and optimize campaigns, emails, and journeys to drive incremental impact. Share learnings with the broader marketing team.

Requirements:
  1. 2+ years proficient experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot)
  2. Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and regulatory/compliance for email communications (CASL, GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.)
  3. Proficiency in email campaign management, including triggered and ad-hoc emails.
  4. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  5. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive email design
  6. Project management experience is a plus
  7. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and deliver results with challenging deadlines.
  8. Self-motivated, with the flexibility to work effectively as part of a team or autonomously.
