Marketing Assistant - Summer Student

Westerner Park is seeking a Marketing Assistant summer student to join our team as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program! Here’s what you’ll be doing:

1. Perform market research activities
2. Assist with management of the social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) for multiple brand accounts
3. Create and schedule posts with engaging content and report results
4. Provide regular content updates for the organization’s websites
5. Event support, particularly Westerner Days Fair & Exhibition
6. Consistent execution of the brand standards for the Westerner Park family of brands, across all collateral and channels.
7. Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships
8. Liaise with other business units to determine and assist with any internal marketing requirements
9. Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department activities
10. Support the Marketing and Communications team in organizing various projects

Is this you? Here’s what we’re looking for:

1. Attending a business related post secondary program, or a recent graduate, preferably with a Marketing focus, is an asset.
2. Marketing experience is an asset.
3. Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
4. A pleasant, positive, and courteous attitude.
5. Must qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 Per Hour
