The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to understand the priorities of each season. Overseeing social media platforms, ensuring promotional materials and website information is updated and top-quality, and coordinating the on-site signage at MBC. Opportunities are also given to interact with new people and tell the story of MBC.

Responsibilities
Social Media
Work with Sales & Marketing Manager to build a calendar of posts for the year based on priority. Organize tracking and show what has been posted.
Able to sell MBC experiences through compelling copywriting and educate followings on events and everyday things happening at MBC.
On-site Signage
Update all signage (Wall displays, table flyers, posters, etc.), working with the Graphic Designer to get required materials.
Manage on-site presentation slides and the online summer schedule throughout the summer.
Communication
Emails to upcoming teachers and musicians to request pictures and bios for promotional materials.
Introductions to new organizations, churches, and schools to connect with MBC.
Represent MBC well on the road while talking to event attendees. A friendly and engaging personality when speaking to others is a must.
Exhibitor Events
Coordinate upcoming events and support staff by preparing supplies and giveaway baskets.
Attendance at some events will be required.
Website Updates
Assist the Sales and Marketing Manager with regular website updates.
Hours of Work
Must be able to work on-site at least 2 days a week.
Some weekend work will be required.
Some overnight travel may also be required for promotional events (Church visits, camp fairs, career fairs, conferences, etc.).
Compensation
Hourly pay, plus 4% vacation pay.
Staff discounts, meals, and uniforms as per our Staff Handbook.
Education/Experience
Secondary School Diploma is required.
Post-secondary studies in Marketing is an asset.
Experience working in the marketing field is an asset but not required.
Qualifications
Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
Organized and able to complete required tasks in a timely manner.
Highly Creative.
Excellent attention to detail and high standards for product quality and brand consistency.
Experience working with platforms such as Microsoft 365, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, WordPress, Survey Monkey, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and Trello is an asset.
Great oral and written communication skills, professional in conduct.
Able to liaise effectively with ministry partners, guests, and other on-site participants.
