About the role

The Market Development Executive (MDE) is responsible for selling Insight’s Cybersecurity and physical Security solutions, technology, professional services and managed services to clients across various industries. The MDE will partner closely with Insight’s go-to-market Account Executives and our Customer IT Architects (CITAs) in alignment with client IT and Cybersecurity strategies, requirements and top business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies to address client cybersecurity and physical security business needs.
  2. This role requires a combination of business knowledge, technical expertise, and sales abilities to identify and manage opportunities from discovery through qualification, prospect negotiation, and closing sales stages.
  3. Expected to increase Insight’s existing base of cybersecurity and physical security solutions annually, achieving revenue and gross profit targets in hardware, software, professional services, and managed services.
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations, including Director-level through C-suite.
  5. Build and sustain relationships with key cybersecurity and physical security hardware and software Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to drive account planning and territory growth.
  6. Maintain relationships with Insight Client Executives, cybersecurity Pre-Sales Customer IT Architects, and Services/Solution practice leaders and teams.
  7. Define and execute a technical account growth strategy in collaboration with Insight Client Executives, cybersecurity and physical security Customer IT Architects, Solution practices, and Insight Services delivery.
  8. Expand the existing customer base and identify new opportunities and acquisition customers for cybersecurity and physical security solutions and services.
  9. Create customized proposals and presentations in collaboration with pre-sales Customer IT Architects and Services Delivery.
  10. Conduct market research to remain informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
  11. Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and deal closure, in partnership with Insight Client Executives.
  12. Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction.
  13. Use and contribute to opportunity pipelines related to MDE customer sales cycles, with experience working with SFDC (SalesForce DotCom) required.
  14. Develop trusted executive client relationships related to technical areas of expertise.
  15. Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and pipeline development.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  2. 10+ years in sales within cybersecurity solutions, professional services, and/or managed security services
  3. Proven record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  4. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships
  6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  7. Knowledge of cybersecurity and physical security solutions, advisory and managed services
  8. Ability to work independently and in a team
  9. Willing to travel as needed
