Job description

IPS - ABBA Roller is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 (1st Shift) who is skilled and detail-oriented with a passion for precision and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and building rubber wheels, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications. The Manufacturing Technician will work closely with various types of hubs and rubber compounds to create durable and high-performance wheels. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Communicate production and quality updates to supervisor and complete daily productivity reports as required.
  • Achieve daily production goals as required by production supervisor and program manager.
  • Follow the required formulations and procedures for casting urethane material.
  • Transfer urethane material into mold with multiple cavities.
  • Set up machines for casting urethane material and building wheels as required.
  • Help to maintain raw material inventory for production jobs.
  • Operate compression molds and ovens.
  • Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of dimensions.
  • Participate in team problem-solving initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of experience working in a manufacturing/production or similar work environment.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with safety guidelines and protocols.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School degree or GED equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and manipulate 40 lbs.
  • Excellent close and distant vision.
  • Ability to stand 8 hours plus per workday.
