Position Overview

As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in our leadership team, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, inventory management, and fleet oversight. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence.

What We Are Looking For

Experience & Leadership:

• 3+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environment with supervisory responsibilities. Flooring background would be an asset.
• Proven ability to lead and develop team members, ensuring operational success.
• Self-starter with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.

Operational & Analytical Skills:

• Build and maintain strong 3rd party vendor relationships.
• Represent Westpro Flooring with professionalism and respect among installers and customers.
• Experience with inventory controls and warehouse best practices.
• Pride in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented and ability to accurately complete tasks.

Safety & Compliance Expertise:

• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. First Aid Certification is an asset.
• Uphold safety standards and high expectations for yourself, co-workers, and peers.
• Experience overseeing warehouse equipment maintenance and fleet management.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development:

• Schedule, train, and lead the warehouse team to meet operational goals.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among warehouse staff.

Operations & Inventory Management:

• Manage and complete shipping/receiving, prepping/picking, and storage of materials.
• Schedule deliveries and pickups with warehouse driver(s), and assist in completing deliveries/pickups as necessary.
• Complete routine cycle counts and annual inventory count with a high level of accuracy.
• Manage stock levels and procurement concerning pending orders and minimums.
• Create, plan, and implement accuracy in inventory controls, including strategies for stale/overstock.
• Monitor and maintain proper waste and recycling management.

Fleet & Equipment Oversight:

• Manage company fleet vehicles, including scheduling maintenance, repairs, licensing, and CVSE compliance.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklift(s), carpet machine, and power pallet jacks.
• Maintain cleanliness on all vehicles and equipment.
• Review and recommend needs and equipment contracts as required.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure full compliance with WorkSafe.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting routine inspections.

Experience

• Management - 3+ years
• Warehouse - 5+ years

License/Certifications

• Driver's License (Class 5) with clean driver's abstract.
• Forklift Certification (Valid or Prepared to be Certified).
