Working with us

Associates working in the hybrid model are expected to come into the office 3 days a week across Tuesdays and Thursdays, reserving Mondays and Fridays as company-wide virtual days. As was true before the pandemic, expectations of being in the office will be balanced with personal life flexibility.

A day in the life of a Capital One Manager, Strategy & Analytics.

If you love diving into challenging analytical problems, this is the role for you.

You'll be charged by developing multi-year strategic roadmaps. Bring strategies to life through end-to-end delivery, measuring their impact through testing and monitoring.

You will lead a team of analysts to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions by gathering and analyzing data, testing hypotheses and developing insights and recommendations to the business.

Working in agile, cross-functional teams, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from others like Data Scientists, Process Managers and Brand Strategists too.

Our Business Managers play leadership roles in every part of our business, identifying opportunities to grow our business with our customers. Some example Business Manager roles include:

  • Marketing Strategy Lead: Optimize our strategies on how we acquire new customers.
  • Fraud Strategy Lead: Lead a team of analysts to develop cutting edge models and fraud prevention strategies.
  • Product Strategy Lead: Lead a cross-functional team to develop new products from ideation to execution.
  • Credit Strategy Lead: Lead a team developing our models and credit policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success.
  • People Management: Coach and mentor associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent.
  • Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies.
  • Marketing: Develop direct-to-consumer marketing strategy and initiatives.
  • Credit Risk: Support improvements in credit performance by creating risk models.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver strategies to market.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong people leadership experience.
  • Analytically oriented with experience in analytical problem-solving.
  • Strategically minded with the ability to bring actionable recommendations.
  • Influential communicator.
  • Results oriented.
  • A team player.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of work experience.
  • 2 years of people leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting or financial services.
  • 5+ years of experience in data and/or quantitative analysis.
