We are currently seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and compliance of our products, as well as their alignment with regulatory requirements and intended purpose prior to distribution. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around overseeing the adherence of the Quality Assurance (QA) department to various standards, including but not limited to the US FDA cGMP requirements, NNHPD, USP (verified product) requirements, and specific customer requirements. Additionally, you will consider the company's commitment to our seven Core Values such as Sustainability (people, the planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.

In this role you will:

  • Be hands-on in managing the QA activities and employees
  • Administer QA compliance systems (e.g. in-process testing in manufacturing and packaging, OOS, calibration, specifications, raw material evaluation, NC, CAPAs, audits, and SOPs)
  • Ensure batch documents (manufacturing documents, packaging documents, and quality control testing documents) are complete, reviewed, and in compliance with specifications prior to release (performed by QA Inspectors)
  • Collaborate with various internal groups to support the launch of new products by monitoring performance and product quality to ensure a state of control is maintained
  • Coordinate Non-Conformance Investigation (NCI) and Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) reporting, investigation, approval, and trend analysis
  • Ensure the following programs are in place and executed at regular intervals: Environmental Monitoring; Pest Control; Temperature and Humidity Monitoring; Air Quality Sampling; Potable Water testing; allergen testing.
  • Manage and support employees working across 24/7 schedules

You have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food or a related scientific field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or food industry, specifically in quality assurance, and preferably in a management position
  • Strong background in GMP compliance activities and compliance audit experience. Prior FDA audit experience is considered a strong asset.
