The Apprenticeship Manitoba Branch is responsible for the administrative and operational oversight of the provincial apprenticeship and occupational training systems and it is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Manager, Policy, Legislation and Board Operations.

Conditions of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess and maintain a class 5F Manitoba Driver's license or equivalent and have access to a vehicle.
- Must be able to travel throughout the Province of Manitoba.
- Must be able to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as required.
Qualifications:Essential:- Post-secondary degree in Planning, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline and extensive related work experience in a senior policy analyst or equivalent role, or an equivalent combination of other post-secondary education and experience may be considered.
- Extensive experience conducting complex policy research, analysis, evaluation, and program development at a senior level.
- Significant experience in the interpretation and application of statutes, regulations, and policies.
- Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative research and analysis skills, including the ability to recommend options and solutions.
- Experience in collecting, interpreting, and explaining complex statistics and program data.
- Strong political acumen to manage highly confidential, controversial, and/or politically sensitive information, and conduct business in a professional manner.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong written communication skills including the ability to write a variety of clear, concise documents and reports for different audiences.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to make formal and informal presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines while working under pressure managing multiple priorities in tight timeframes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) or similar software applications.
Desired:- Experience or thorough knowledge in supporting advisory Board operations.
Duties:Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Policy, Legislation and Board Operations provides leadership, direction, support and supervision to policy analysts and Board administrative support including the development of unit workplans and assigning, reviewing and monitoring work priorities for each staff member.
