Horizon Recruitment Inc is currently seeking a Manager, Planning, Analysis, & BI for a large client in the education sector. This person will manage complex analytical services to support the organization's strategic financial planning processes. You will liaise with stakeholders across and provide tools and training, input, feedback, and support pertaining to budgeting and forecasting. You will also manage day-to-day business intelligence services aimed at providing meaningful insights to business performance, opportunities, risks, impacts, and solutions.
Responsibilities:
Manages the budget and business intelligence functions, aligning operational plans with department strategies, optimizing processes, and ensuring data integrity.
Oversees complex financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, including enrollment, profitability, and cost efficiencies.
Collaborates with managers and stakeholders on budget planning, providing tools, communicating deadlines, monitoring activities, and suggesting modifications.
Directs business intelligence services for performance analysis, trends, and financial modeling, working with the Manager on planning and decisions.
Coordinates with the Financial Systems & Reporting team to ensure effective budgeting and forecasting systems, contributing to system planning and modifications.
Monitors compliance and controls, resolves financial inquiries, alerts the Manager to issues, and promotes continuous improvement.
Participates in professional organizations and stays updated on industry trends, recommending best practices and methods for reporting functions.
Manages reporting staff, including their development, performance management, and coaching, collaborating with the Manager on performance issues.
Requirements:
CPA designation or equivalent.
Solid accounting foundation with financial statements preparation experience.
6+ years of FP&A experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
Strong knowledge of the concepts, theories, practices, and methods of financial analysis and business intelligence, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, analysis, and related reporting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage complex analytical services to support strategic financial planning processes, and ability to manage business intelligence services, including all financial modeling, analysis, and related report generation.

A team-oriented work approach with the ability to work independently.
Rewards:
$120,000-125,000
