The Operational Accounting team provides transactional financial services, utilizing a Shared Services model, to the Province’s departments, agencies, boards, and commissions. This includes centralized and integrated support and services in areas of payment production, corporate credit card management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, as well as month end, calendar year end and fiscal year end procedures, financial reporting and reconciliations and internal controls for transactional financial services for the Province.
This position reports to and is supported by the Director, Operational Accounting. The accountabilities include management of a shared services operational environment in the areas of Reporting and Reconciliation processes.

The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration or commerce and a professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA or CA) with a minimum of three years of experience post designation. Ideally, they have several years of progressive management/supervisory experience working with high volume processing teams in large ERP environments focused on client service.
The nature of the work requires professionalism and discretion to ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. You are an individual who thrives working in a team environment, maintains a client focused approach and can respond to requests with tact and diplomacy. It is also key that you work with a high level of accuracy, prioritize tasks/projects within competing deadlines, and have the demonstrated ability to exercise sound professional judgement.

Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3,760.89- $4,701.11 Bi-Weekly
