We are seeking a Manager of Learning and Development, reporting to the VP of Human Resources, to establish and lead our new Learning and Development function. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing various online, in-person, real-time, and self-paced learning programs to support global skills development and growth. You will collaborate with teams across the organization and within Human Resources to create and deliver impactful, learner-focused development opportunities that drive meaningful results.

This is a hybrid opportunity, working Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays on-site in our downtown Toronto office. Our headquarters are located within minutes of St. Andrew and Union subway stations.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead diverse learning programs to enable onboarding and personal development for illumin employees.
  • Create an end-to-end learning experience to support our value proposition.
  • Shape our learning and development function to align with changes in our company strategy.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with partners to determine training needs and appropriate delivery methods.
  • Facilitate an agile test-and-learn environment with a willingness to challenge the status quo.

What you bring:

  • End-to-end training development experience, with expertise in designing and delivering blended learning.
  • Relationship builder with exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong evidence-based decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and learning management systems.
  • Ready to hit the ground running and comfortable with ambiguity.

To support a healthy work-life balance, we offer a flexible work environment, a meal credit for your in-office days, and a free massage with an RMT in-house every eight weeks. That is in addition to our comprehensive benefits, which include life, AD&D, long-term disability insurance, and coverage for prescriptions, dental, vision, mental health, and professional health services.
