Permanent Full-Time Position – 35 hours/week (1.0 FTE)
Pay Scale: $84,344 to $101,620 annually

About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Mental Health, Substance Use Health & Addictions, the Manager is accountable for the day-to-day operations and special projects of the teams, including Mental Health Counsellors and support staff. The Manager will oversee the Counselling teams, the Lifestyle Enrichment for Senior Adults (LESA) program, and non-medical staff in the Trans Health clinic, focusing on quality improvement in MHSUA and 2SLGBTQ+ services.
The incumbent conducts and/or facilitates the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of services in consultation with the Director and plays a key role in building and maintaining community partnerships.
Alongside the Director and leadership team, the Manager contributes to the strategic direction of the MHSUA programs and CCHC.
Requirements
Major Responsibilities
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Health Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years’ leadership experience, including three years managing a multi-disciplinary team in health care or social services.
- Registered or eligible for registration with a relevant professional College or governing body (i.e., College of Social Workers, psychotherapists, etc.).

- Demonstrated understanding of Mental Health, Substance Use Health, and Addictions services and programs.
- Strong understanding of best practices in clinical counselling.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in development and delivery of related programs and services.
- Experience addressing issues of inequity, racism, homophobia/transphobia, and oppression.
- Solid knowledge of general management principles, including financial and human resource management.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Strong critical analysis, problem-solving, planning, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to be an effective change agent.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong promoter of teamwork.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with management information systems.
- Identifies as a member of Indigenous, Black or racialized communities.
- Lived or living experience of mental health, substance use, trauma, or homelessness.
- English, written and spoken.
- French, spoken.
