Our client is a multi-facility medical center in CA. They are part of one of the largest, most successful and decorated health systems in the United States. They offer both community-based and tertiary medical services.

Their location has over 400 licensed beds and is a not-for-profit. They are also fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. They have received special recognition for quality by the Joint Commission this year and won a Consumer Choice award for hospitals from the National Research Council.

They have an immediate opening for an energetic and multi-tasking Medical Staff Service professional to lead a strong Med Staff department to the next level of service.

Provides overall leadership, direction and management of the activities and resources of the Medical Staff Services department. Provides support to the Medical Staff organization to meet the goals and objectives of the medical staff and hospital and to meet requirements of licensure and regulatory agencies. Establishes protocols and practices, ensuring compliance with department, affiliate, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Takes a strategic and tactical approach in identifying best practices and standardizing workflows/processes and developing plans of action to implement changes.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

1. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
2. Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare or related field.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

1. 8 years recent relevant experience.
