Who we need

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Science, we are looking for a Manager, Marketing Science with technical expertise and confidence in their knowledge to leverage analytics and deliver impactful marketing campaign results and insights to stakeholders. You will work collaboratively across teams to translate data into meaningful stories, align campaigns, and communicate effectively. You will guide and support junior analysts in conveying insights for campaigns, ensuring data is understandable and valuable.

This is a hybrid role requiring work in-office five days over two weeks.

What's in it for you

Ownership. We are a data science-driven company. Our customer database is one of Canada's largest and most complex, with data from dozens of partners and millions of members. Every project you work on will impact the organization as a whole and our loyalty program members.

Future forward impact. This is a chance to define and shape your role as part of a future-forward team that values authenticity and invites fresh perspectives. Joining us now is an opportunity to own and drive campaign development, analytics, and results presentations for our partners and owners.

Anticipation. We have a proven history of supporting the growth of our people. Whether you want to expand your role in marketing and data modelling or explore another area of our business or one of our parent companies, there is always something to look forward to.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze marketing data. You will monitor campaign performance and consult on adjustments to marketing strategy based on your findings. You will conduct post-campaign deep dives, collaborating with Marketing, Partnerships and Data Science to implement changes to messaging and ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Report. You will analyze data to understand campaign results and gain insights into performance. You will generate reports that translate the resulting data into stories in PowerPoint for a non-technical audience. Additionally, you will create and manage Tableau dashboards. You will make presentations and recommendations to the leadership team and our owners and partners.
  • Coach. You will guide the work of junior team members, providing support on their campaign delivery, alignment, and analysis.
  • Optimize. You will advise on adjustments to augment the performance of campaigns based on the data. You will review the results of post-campaign deep dives, and work across teams to implement changes for future campaigns and ensure alignment on objectives. You will identify gaps in data point collection, demonstrate areas for further exploration and targeting, and evolve the entire campaign process to improve efficiency and reduce errors. You will stay current with the latest tools and best practices in the field.

You bring:

  • The analytics. You have a background in marketing analysis and campaign analytics. You have worked with big data sets, ideally in a customer loyalty program, identifying data-based trends and opportunities to improve effectiveness and create engagement with campaigns. You can distill data into relevant findings that drive decisions, create compelling stories, and convey actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences. You can apply your findings to drive decisions and pinpoint gaps in data point collection.
  • The leadership skills. You can balance priorities, change direction based on shifting needs, and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. You have a results-oriented mindset and can set performance goals and metrics to validate member engagement and marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • The technical skills. You can learn new tools independently and quickly. You are proficient in MS Office, including the strengths in building presentation decks in PowerPoint that succinctly convey results and provide data-based recommendations. You have a solid foundation using Python/Pyspark for data science, writing complex SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple database sources, and using Tableau for data visualization. You have strong digital business acumen and a proven record of successfully working with marketing automation tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Adobe, Moengage, etc.
  • The interpersonal skills. You can nurture relationships across teams. You know how to provide guidance and coaching to junior team members and gain trust to influence decisions. You have professional communication skills, including translating complex analytics concepts and the confidence to present to different audiences and levels.

Why work for us? The best of all worlds. We offer:

  • Perks. Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, performance-based bonuses, and extra rewards from our owners, including discounted rates on mortgages, banking, movies, and groceries.
  • Transparency. Our strategic focus comes from our owners, along with funding and infrastructure support. The creative approach and direction is Scene’s to run with.
  • Warmth. We’re nurturing an authentic culture of relationship building, knowledge sharing, and creativity. As we continue to grow and work together, everyone is invited to share ideas for fun with the team.
  • The future. We are all about living in the moment while looking towards the future. Because to us, the only thing more exciting than today is tomorrow.

What you can expect from our interview process:
