Position Title: Manager, Marketing, Government Relations and Strategy

Location: 620 Royal Avenue, New Westminster

Terms: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000-$90,000 annually

Start Date: As soon as possible

Reports To: Chief Data, Technology, Marketing and Strategy Officer (CDO)

Nature & Scope:

The Manager, Marketing, Government Relations and Strategy will be a key partner in streamlining YMCA BC’s strategic initiatives through the optimization of processes and KPIs. The manager will be responsible for identifying growth and revenue opportunities while ensuring the long-term sustainability of YMCA BC’s community impact.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying growth and revenue opportunities by leveraging insights from Marketing, Government Relations, and program evaluations.
  • Identify and implement innovative processes, tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Collaboratively work with leaders in other departments including but not limited to Government Relations and Marketing to create structured frameworks that align with the organization’s strategic initiatives and goals.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics team to develop metrics and tools that enable data-driven strategies to support the YMCA BC.
  • Facilitate a collaborative environment, ensuring cross-department leaders align with the organization's strategy initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic planning, strategy, consulting, research and insights, or a similar role within a complex organization.
  • A bachelor’s degree in any relevant field, such as engineering, international relations, or economics. A master’s degree would be beneficial but is not required.
  • Experience with strategic frameworks, process improvements, and driving innovation.
  • Proven experience working cross-departmentally and managing large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making, business case development, and the ability to implement structured organizational improvements.
  • Experience in a not-for-profit or mission-driven environment considered an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite for word processing, spreadsheets, email systems and database applications
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding start date
