Who we are
You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. What we’re trying to say is that we’re a large and growing professional services firm that still feels like a community. We employ over 3000 people across Canada, and we truly care about our colleagues, our clients and the communities where we work and live. That’s what’s most important to us. We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.
Our special culture shines through when we have the opportunity to connect in person. That’s why we’re working in a model where teams are required to be together in the office 4 days per week.
As a Manager, Marketing & Communications your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Senior Manager, Regional Marketing to execute and contribute to the development of marketing plans and campaigns, as well as support the local execution of national campaigns.

- Collaborating with Marcom to execute all components of a campaign or marketing plan within provided timelines and with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience in developing and executing campaigns that include event marketing, sponsorships, content marketing, and/or webinars.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and the needs of their clients, and making strategic recommendations that demonstrate a strong understanding of the problem or business need and that align to the needs of the firm and the client.
- Understanding the various touch points and stages of a sale in professional services and identifying, planning, and developing the right marketing tactic to help drive a positive purchase decision.
- Being an advocate for marketing with internal clients. Educate them on the role of marketing, including the processes and required inputs to produce effective campaigns and how to plan for periods of high demand.
- Being relentlessly curious: Understand the challenges and opportunities our clients face and the solutions our stakeholders and firm can provide.
- Other duties as required.
