Marketing Manager

Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join our team onsite at Park Place Mall in Lethbridge, AB. This person will be responsible for managing the marketing strategies for both Park Place and Peter Pond Mall in Fort McMurray, AB. As the Marketing Manager, your primary responsibility centers around proficiently communicating, sourcing, and executing property-level marketing initiatives. Accomplishing this goal revolves around crafting, nurturing, and actualizing a dynamic strategic marketing plan tailored to the shopping center's unique attributes by:

  1. Developing and executing annual marketing plan aligned with property objectives, encompassing platform programs and supporting financial goals.
  2. Formulating effective marketing strategies, including branding and detailed tactics, to enhance income, leasing, sales, traffic, and market share.
  3. Implementing revenue-generating opportunities, leveraging mall assets, media, and programming to achieve financial sales targets.
  4. Driving retailer growth through intensification strategies, fostering awareness and sales while maintaining brand integrity.
  5. Managing media plans, advertising, and social media channels to engage target audience, optimize Primaris Gift Card program, and assess customer research.
  6. Monitoring market developments, assessing publicity impact, and staying informed about trade area changes while performing additional assigned duties.
  7. Conducting annual performance reviews, coaching direct reports, participating in hiring/onboarding, and consistently motivating, guiding, and evaluating employees to enhance satisfaction, stability, and productivity.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are creative and strategic thinkers with excellent communication skills. If this opportunity sounds interesting to you, you likely have the following attributes:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field required.
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in strategic marketing, event management, sales, sponsorship or related area.
  3. Minimum 3 years supervising, coaching, and mentoring direct reports.
  4. Expertise in retail management, marketing, advertising, and media.
  5. Strong managerial, strategic, and analytical skills.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, sales, and negotiation abilities.
  7. Innovative problem-solving for enhancing tenant and consumer experiences.
  8. Budget management knowledge.
  9. Must be able to travel frequently.
