Ross Video is looking for a Manager of Manufacturing Data Infrastructure to lead a talented team of data engineers and analysts in developing cutting-edge data solutions for our manufacturing activities.

In this role, you will need to balance technical expertise with strong business acumen and management skills. We are seeking a leader who can drive business-focused strategies, inspire their team, and ensure that our data infrastructure aligns with and supports our broader business goals. This role is within our state of the art manufacturing facility located in Iroquois, On.

What the job is all about:

  • Lead and Inspire: Steer and manage a small team of data engineers and analysts. Provide guidance, support, and performance management while fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Data Engineering: Oversee the development and maintenance of data solutions, including data hubs, ETL processes, data warehouses, and BI toolsets.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with corporate IS to integrate manufacturing systems with business systems (ERP, Agile PLM, SalesForce). Ensure seamless integration of equipment and data sources into the data hub and data lake.
  • Support for Production Equipment: Provide IT hardware support specifically for production equipment.
  • Software Tools: Identify, evaluate, and integrate software tools for data collection, data entry, and data manipulation, ensuring they enhance data operations within the manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Technology Strategy: Recommend and implement technology changes that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Business Analysis: Work with manufacturing stakeholders to build out data solutions and streamline processes using software systems like ERP.
  • Web Development and Scripting: Develop custom interfaces and perform scripting for data manipulation to support manufacturing needs.
  • Data Analytics: Analyze manufacturing data to derive insights and optimize processes.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and BI tools. Familiarity with databases, dashboards, business metrics, and business intelligence solutions.
  • 5-7 years in data engineering, system integration, or a related technical field. At least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze complex problems to develop innovative solutions. Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Solid leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Capable of providing clear direction, support, and mentorship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure clear, effective communication across teams.
  • Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of internal stakeholders and customers. Ensuring that data solutions provide real value and support business objectives.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to build solid relationships with stakeholders and facilitate teamwork.
  • Ability to think strategically about technology and its role in achieving business goals. Forward-thinking approach to technology adoption and process improvement.

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to build solid relationships with stakeholders and facilitate teamwork.
  • You have expert-level proficiency in data research and proficiency in understanding infrastructure needs assessments using tools such as cost-benefit research being a bonus.
