Wetaskiwin Co-op is now accepting applications for the full-time permanent position of Maintenance Manager in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Reporting to the Feed Division Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the Maintenance department for Country Junction Feeds, as well as supporting a variety of Feed departments, locations, and initiatives.

Areas of Responsibility
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and capital projects.
- Provide leadership to the department, including goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members.
- Developing and refining a comprehensive predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance program, as well as implementing and maintaining business processes and standard operating procedures for maintenance operations.
- Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruptions to production.
- Assist the Feed Division Manager in communicating operational requirements, operational changes, and translate the vision into departmental initiatives.
- Perform maintenance and repair activities related to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry as needed, and/or arrange for the services of a professional tradesperson to perform the tasks where required.
- Ensure all applicable company policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to and ensure safety and regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Participate in the HACCP and CFIA production audits as required.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing environment or the feed mill industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Valid trade certification (Millwright, Electrician, Heavy Duty etc.) is considered an asset.
- You are comfortable with heights.
- You are motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude.
- You believe in collaboration, building relationships, and value the perspectives of colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to organize and effectively prioritize tasks respectful of deadlines, with an ability to work under pressure and work with integrity.
