ABOUT THE TEAMThe Strategic Communications and Global Government Affairs (SCGGA) team leads and manages internal and external communications and the government relations approach for PSP Investments, working closely with key internal and external stakeholders. Our main objectives are to share who we are through our values, vision, activities and successes and also to keep our employees informed, connected, inspired, educated and entertained.
ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs a Manager, Lead Writer, you will:
Produce high-quality written content in English (native-level proficiency) and French (advanced proficiency), adapting writing style to different formats and delivery methods. Content to produce might include, but is not limited to:
Compelling and impactful speeches for senior executives, ensuring alignment with the speaker’s communication objectives, tone, messaging, and usual voice.
External and internal communication tools, such as official publications, narratives, press releases, media statements, fact sheets, long-format white papers, social media posts, memos, intranet articles, presentations, etc.
Provide strategic advice on copywriting matters, developing solutions to meet the specific needs of internal clients and to ensure alignment with broader goals and strategies of PSP.
Understand PSP Investments’ broad direction and strategies in order to develop content that supports the organization’s objectives.
Participate in meetings with internal clients to understand project specifications, as needed.
Review and edit content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and style, ensuring alignment with PSP’s corporate guidelines, core narratives and brand voice.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis on topics covered in speeches and communication tools to craft well-informed written content.
Ensure proper archiving of completed copywriting projects.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or an equivalent field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in content writing, editing, and proofreading, with a focus on corporate communications.
Extensive experience in speechwriting for executives and key stakeholders, tailored to diverse audiences and occasions.
Proven ability to adapt tone, style, and messaging for varied audiences and communication platforms.
Experience producing a wide range of communication materials.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
Knowledge of industry trends in content creation, an asset.
Experience working in multidisciplinary creative teams, an asset.
Experience in the financial or investment sector, an asset.
Native-level proficiency in English, with excellent grammar, spelling, and style skills; advanced proficiency in French, with strong writing and editing capabilities in both languages.
