Position SummaryThe Manager, Information Technology is responsible for the effective operation of information technology (IT) services and support across the organization. This individual oversees IT project management, resource management, supervision of IT staff, as well as communication with the executive team, business unit leaders, and end users. The IT Manager is also responsible for IT strategic and tactical planning, as well as identifying, selecting, and deploying the appropriate technology resources that will support corporate goals and objectives. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES- Plan, develop, and manage all IT services, programs, and support throughout the enterprise, including user and application support, IT inventory management, network management, storage, security, backups, disaster recovery planning, etc.
- Provide internal IT support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance etc.).
- Oversee the implementation, deployment and operation of information systems and technology solutions for business needs.
- Ensure Strike maintains a robust IT security platform.
- Develop and maintain the 3-5 year IT strategy for Strike.
- Assist senior management with the direction and facilitation of IT strategic and tactical planning.
- Research, design, and implement the appropriate technologies to support and improve corporate communications, access to information, and end-user productivity.
- Oversee project management for IT-related undertakings, including clear capture of business requirements, provision of functional deliverables, milestone planning, and project postmortems.
- Hire, staff, and supervise a skilled team of IT professionals; help guide the professional development of IT personnel.
- Develop and manage a budget for technology, IT services, and personnel.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases; oversee vendor contracts, warranties and service agreements.
- Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and/or customers.
- Create status reports as required; present findings to senior management.
- Plan end-user training as required.
- Act as advocate for IT department and its initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in computer science, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required.
- Relevant professional designations are an asset.
Experience- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT management capacity required
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities- Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills.
- Effective written & verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally & externally.
- Strong technical background in IT – networking, security, M365, application support, service desk, deskside support, etc.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Strong negotiation and prioritization skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of applicable IT laws and regulations.
- Some experience managing budgets for an IT department.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Highly effective project management skills.
